When deciding what fence to choose, it’s important to consider a range of factors that are available and how much you are looking to spend. Fence repairs are available at a cost-effective solution to get your fence back standing but it’s not always going to last. If it’s a new fence you are looking for, you can opt for either wooden posts or concrete posts, depending on your budget etc.
Concrete posts are obviously the better option but do come at an additional cost. You can either have the featheredge fencing (self-build panels) that are built on site, or alternatively the concrete slotted posts with pre-built panels. The main difference being the featheredge fencing is built to last and a lot stronger, whereas the slotted posts allow easy changeability of the panels when they rot away.
If you are looking for a more rustic-look, I would opt for chestnut fencing. This is standard across most farms but a lot of residential customers are using this around their property at the front to keep the boundary and removing hedges in the process.
